Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New Colours for the Welsh Guards. DESCRIPTION: New Colours are presented to the First Battalion Welsh Guards by His Majesty the King to replace those which were presented to the Regiment by King George the Fifth. The ceremony was held in the grounds of Buckingham Palace. SHOTLIST: KS. SV SCU Welsh Guards. GV parade. King in uniform Colonel-in-Chief walks out onto terrace. GV colours being trooped - slow march (old colours). King inspects regiment. Queen Mary & Princess Elizabeth on terrace watch, with Princess Alice and Earl of Athlone. CU Queen Mary & Princess Elizabeth. King presents new colour. King addresses regiment, telling them to guard them well. GV troops marching. Regiment gives three cheers. SCU King saluting to finish.
