- Summary
- The practical results of war-time research - thousands of lives saved on the battle front. Shots of soldiers under medical care in a military hospital. Penicillin in production: cultures mature in laboratory and liquid is drained off mould. The solution is treated with chloriform, diluted, then tested to ensure right strength. After sterilization and packing the drug is delivered by plane to wherever it is most needed by troops.
