Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Light Go Up Again. DESCRIPTION: After nearly 10 years, the lights of Britain go on again. Scenes of Blackpool Illuminations and rejoicing in Piccadilly. SHOTLIST: KS MS globe over Colosseum not illuminated. Ditto illuminated. Night - trucking shot along Oxford Street showing lighted shop windows. Trucking round Piccadilly, crowds around Eros. Lights on in Piccadilly Circus. Library - Several shots of Blackpool lit up pre-war. Also Southend lit-up pre-war. Trucking shot through Leicester Square. Also Piccadilly lights. Several theatres giving leading stars names in lights. Finish on 20th Century Fox and Movietone in lights.
