- Bombs and heavy transport vehicles are ferried across the Sicilian Channel preparatory to the invasion of Sicily. The Eighth Army sets out from North Africa, first packing its equipment. Much of the latter is American-made - a good example of Anglo-American co-operation. Shots of Montgomery. Paratroopers prepare to drop behind enemy lines. Invasion flotilla leaves for Sicily.
