Summary
The air - part played by the Eighth Army at Mareth. Night bombardment and then tank attack under cover of darkness. Enemy bombards our forward lines. Rommel driven to retreat as Allies, with air support, bomb enemy lines of communication and break through Mareth Line into southern Tunisia, meeting the advancing American Second Army Corps between Gabes and El Guettar. The capture of Sened. At Maknassy, Italian prisoners are rounded up. Turkish dignitaries visit the Allies, and are greeted by General Alexander at Headquarters. Bombing of Mareth Zone. Anti-aircraft fire holds of bombardment by German planes. Capture of many German prisoners
