- The capture of Casablanca by Allies. Royal Navy carries convoy of British and American soldiers for attack on Casablanca. Air protection provided by Fleet Air Arm. Exercises and deck games on ship. Enemy U-boat menace and reconnaissance planes fought off. Air photos of landing area. Dutch vessels escort troops. First assault on Casablanca made by American troops. Air attack by enemy countered. First landings. Vichy French confined to barracks. (Bardia?) recaptured. Vichy chiefs capitulate. Beaches close to Algiers taken by combined US and British forces. Landings near Oran. Fighting Vichy snipers. British and Americans take over Maison Blanche aerodrome. Algiers taken with help of Admiral Darlan. Armistice arranged by Darlan and signed at Hotel St Georges. Italian subjects rounded up and imprisoned.
