- Fighter planes escort Army across Channel where they are scheduled to carry out raids on Dieppe destroying Nazi aerodromes. Convoy sighted by Germans and guns fire in Channel. Nazi bombers attack; shots of German bomber shot down into the sea; launch rescues a shot-down British pilot from the sea. From South Coast bases, more fighter-escorted bombers set out for Dieppe. Aerial views of Dieppe. Enemy airfields "pasted hour after hour". Nazi posts at Dieppe reduced to smoking ruins. Canadian troops are among the forces who land. The wounded return. Canadian captain speaks highly of the quality of British weapons and equipment, but stresses the need for more "quantity". The workers are encouraged "You made everything possible".
