Summary
King and Queen, with the Princesses lead the nation in a day of thanksgiving for victory over Japan. They drive through the streets to St Paul’s Cathedral. Outside the crowds join in the service relayed through loudspeakers. King Peter of Yugoslavia is present; Attlee, Churchill and Bevin look on as Royal Family leave.
