DESCRIPTION: Off Gibraltar, the Home and Mediterranean Fleets go into mock battle, just proving that we are well prepared in case on an emergency. SHOTLIST: KS "Duke of York" lying at anchor - shot against the light, Gibraltar in background. Destroyer HMS "Corunna" at sea, pitching & tossing in rough sea. Destroyers in line ahead, Gibraltar in background. Line ahead of destroyers - at sea. MS aircraft carriers HMS "Triumph" and "Theseus". MS battleship HMS "Duke of York". GV aircraft carrier HMS "Implacable". MS "Implacable" turning at sea. Several shots of maintenance to aircraft. Wings of Firebrand fighters on deck being unfolded. Pilot up on deck lift run to planes. Pilot aboard planes. Elevated GV Sea Hornets on flight deck of carrier. Pilot gives the OK. Firebrands & Sea Hornets take off from carrier. Ditto landing on flight deck. Flag officer giving flagging planes in to flight deck on landing. Admiral Sir Rhoderick McGrigor, transfers by bosun’s chair from "Implacable" to destroyer HMS "Agincourt". Shot from bosun’s chair as it approaches destroyer. SCU Admiral’s flag flying at the hoist. Destroyers - line ahead. MS line ahead destroyers & Gibraltar in background. GV Rock of Gibraltar. Elevated GV Gibraltar Harbour. GV Rock framed in between two guns of "Implacable". Crew paraded on flight deck of "Implacable". MS HMS "Vanguard" battleship. Elevated GV Gibraltar & pan. Admirals walk into camera - Russell, Douglas-Pennant, Power & Mountbatten, ashore. Finish on White Ensign flying with Gibraltar in background.
