- The close of 1943: Roosevelt, Churchill and Chiang Kai-shek gather at the hotel in Cairo. (November 22nd). Also present are General Marshall, General Arnold, Admiral Sir Andrew Cunningham, Sir John Dill, Admirals King and Leahy. Accompanied by his son and daughter, Churchill inspects the Fourth Hussars. Later, at the British Embassy, he is entertained by Lord and Lady Killearn, Amin Osman Pasha and Nahas Pasha being present and Prince Mohammed Ali with his two small children. Madame Chiang, with Roosevelt, Churchill and Chiang poses for the cameras. So also do Sir John Dill, Mountbatten, General Somerville etc. The Teheran Conference (November 28th - December 1st). Delegates fly to Teheran; street scenes. At the Russian Embassy. In a special ceremony England presents the sword of Stalingrad to Stalin (Marshal Voroshilov is present).* Delegates meet in the gardens of the British Legation and later meet the Shah of Persia. Mr Churchill celebrates his 69th birthday and Indian and British troops make presentations to him and give three cheers. Shots of Marshal Voroshilov, the hero of Stalingrad.
