Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Duke & Princess in Scotland. DESCRIPTION: The Duke of Edinburgh receives the Freedom of that City in the Usher Hall. The following day Princess Elizabeth receives an honorary degree of Law at McEwan Hall. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated GV crowds outside Usher Hall. Princess & Duke received by car, Lord Provost & wife (Sir Andrew Murray & Lady Murray). Duke inspects sailors. Cut-in Princess Elizabeth & Lady Murray. Interior - GV procession towards seats. Freedom given to Duke of Edinburgh, hands over casket. Duke speaks in MS & SCU (General Browning can be seen behind the Duke). Duke speaks about his wedding. NEXT DAY - Princess inspects regiment. Interior - procession to seats. Honorary degree bestowed upon Princess. MS & SCU Princess speaking. Finish on applause.
