- Summary
- Transport vehicles travel via Allied supply line through Middle East en route for Russia. Vehicles are handed over to the Soviet representative at assembly depot. Behind the front, Soviet factories produce all the weapons they can to supplement Allied supply. Russian development of armoured train as effective offensive weapon. Bomber Command bombs Cologne on last night of May, 1942. Preparations for attack. Air Marshal Harris gives the command. Halifaxes, Lancasters, Stirlings, Wellingtons, Hampdens and Whitleys are loaded. The reoccupation of the Rhine Zone. Flashback to 1936 when Germans marched over the Cologne Bridge. British gunners in action at Alamein. Italian prisoners in trucks. British troops welcome the Australians sent to the front. More armour from American and British factories arrives at the front.
