Summary
The British Mediterranean Fleet, under Admiral Sir Andrew Cunningham, accompanied by vessels of the Greek Fleet, sighted some Italian warships which were headed off by the Fleet Air Arm and RAF. Navy fires and battle commences - heavy Italian losses. Italian survivors in an Allied prison camp.
