Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Berlin Scene. Communist and Anti Communist Demonstrations. DESCRIPTION: A communist demonstration in the Potsdammer Platz lead to some street fighting. The demonstration was followed by a mass meeting near the Reichstag, where people listened to anti-Communist speakers. SHOTLIST: GV Reichstag in ruins. Military sentries stand in front of Reichstag. Communist Germans walk through streets in procession carrying banners. Crowds gather. Street brawl breaks out. Police arrest a few marchers. GV Allied Military Headquarters cars arriving. Four flags fly outside. Crowds at anti-communist meeting. Franz Neumann addresses then, points to flag at half mast. Cut-in of Soviet flag at half mast. GV huge crowds assembled.
