MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Premiere Causes Riot. DESCRIPTION: A Communist attempt to stop the premiere of the film The Iron Curtain, led to fighting in New York’s theatrical district. SHOTLIST: KS GV Roxy Theatre with Iron Curtain displayed in lights etc. GV theatre, with traffic passing in fore. Various shots of pickets walking outside theatre, displaying banners etc. Several shots of police mingling with the Communist crowds and dispersing same. Shots of people queuing to enter cinema and shots of them entering, police stand by for any further trouble. Night material.
