- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Palestine - the Christmas Scene. DESCRIPTION: Trouble spots in Jerusalem had to be evacuated by troops and police during the Christmas season. The traditional procession to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem was curtailed, partly by the weather and partly by the troubles. SHOTLIST: KS GV Jerusalem. Several shots of Father Christmas in armoured car, same passes through streets. Various shots Armenians carrying sacks of belongings across Jewish quarters, protected by police, Armenians evacuate place. Various GVs elevated of Old City of Jerusalem. Several shots of deserted Wailing Wall. Motor convoy (procession) from Jerusalem to Bethlehem, escorted by motor cyclists, weather rather rainy. Procession stops at mountain road and mounted Arab patrol (horseback) take over escort. CU of an escort. Procession arrives at Church of Nativity. Several shots of Church with small crowds gathered.
