- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Dutch Princess Christened. DESCRIPTION: Princess Marijke of the Netherlands is christened in Utrecht Cathedral. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated shot procession through street. Queen of Holland alights from car accompanied by Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg. Princess Beatrix and Princess Irene (children) accompanied by their governess (Mrs Pennings) alight from car. Crown Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard walk down the aisle, the former holding the baby, passing diplomats etc. Juliana and Bernhard take their pews. Singing by choir and congregation. General pan shows Mrs Soames (Mary Churchill) among distinguished guests. Reverend van Berkel performs christening ceremony. Prince Bernhard is holding baby, prior to this cut-ins of Queen of Holland, Princess Beatrix and the baby knocking her arm on Prince Bernhard. Elevated shot of congregation. Princess Beatrix after ceremony comes forward and wipes the baby’s forehead with a handkerchief. More singing. Baby was christened - Princess Marijke. Cut-in of the organ.
