MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Shelsley Walsh True to Form. DESCRIPTION: Raymond Mays in an ERA won the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb for the fifteenth time. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated shot of motor car racing along road track. Several shots of cars racing along road track. Crowds stand in the rain, some with umbrellas up. CU people’s feet making their way over mud. Car turns bend in road and sprays water from wet roads behind. Several shots of paddock, shows cars preparing for race. SCU Mrs Derbyshire in her Riley, waiting for start, she has an umbrella up. SCU B Bira of Siam beside his car. Several shots of cars. Start of some cars, including very small car, starter uses an instrument for detailing time, cars wheels run over same. Smallest car there starts, out of camera. Cut-in crowd with umbrellas up, raining hard. Car skidding on bend of road. A supercharged Bugatti, driven by Lady Mary Grosvenor, climbs over hill. No 63 called Bloody Mary into camera at speed. No 46 B Bira’s Maserati into and out of camera. Cut-ins of crowds in rain. Raymond Mays (No 45) in ERA racing along road, several shots, rounding bends. SCU of him and his wife, Raymond Mays being the winner.
