- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Tour - Pretoria and Johannesburg. DESCRIPTION: One of the highlights of the visit to Pretoria was the presentation by the King of new Colours to a number of South African Regiments. At Johannesburg the Royal party stayed in a hotel and the Princesses attended a ball. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Elevated shot Government Buildings decorated with huge crown. GV Colours being presented to several South African regiments. Flag bearers receive colours. Cut-ins Royal Family on dais. MS Colours in single file being paraded in slow march past the King to the National Anthem and Die Stem. SLIP PAN Tracking shot, entering Johannesburg, prior to slip pan is at Pretoria. Cars pass under archway reading Johannesburg. Several shots as Royal cars pass through streets of cheering people. Royal Family alight at Carlton Hotel. Interior shots of ball attended by the two Princesses. Shots of them arriving. Guests await them forming a heart shape. Princesses Elizabeth & Margaret arrive walk through girls holding gladioli. Several shots of Princesses dancing.
