Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Severe Weather Hits America. DESCRIPTION: Sub-zero weather has meant ice flowing over the Niagara Falls. In Chicago firemen trying to dowse the blaze at a Rubber Factory had the danger of frost-bite to contend with as well. SHOTLIST: KS LS Niagara Falls shows ice forming on water, which still continues to run. Various angle shots of Falls shows huge lumps of ice floating towards the drop, several shots of actual Falls. At Chicago, firemen fighting blaze of rubber tyre factory, shots of water freezing on objects at which it is directed, icicles hanging from fire engines, firemen endeavour to unfreeze their hose-pipes, several shots water which they are playing on fire frozen hard.
