MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Kalinin’s Funeral. DESCRIPTION: Pictures of the Funeral of Soviet President Kalinin, who died in June, have now been released in Britain. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Crowds at Kalinin’s coffin - lying-in-state, shots of Kalinin in coffin. Standing by coffin are Stalin, Molotov, and Marshal Tito. Coffin being borne by Stalin, Molotov, Malenkov, Kaganovich and Zhdanov. Coffin placed on gun carriage. Procession starts to move through streets, all mourners walking, led by Stalin. Elevated shot of procession approaching Red Square, cut-ins of Stalin at head. Procession. CU Shvernik giving oration of life of Kalinin. By the wall of the Kremlin, wreaths lie near grave, coffin being lowered into grave. Hundreds of wreaths by grave. Guns fire a salute. Red Air Force planes fly overhead in salute. There are CUs of Stalin and Molotov in same.
