MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Peace Conference - Paris. DESCRIPTION: After much discussion the Peace Conference has adopted the British compromise of two-thirds versus simple majority voting. SHOTLIST: KS GV roof of Luxembourg Palace. Plane carrying Mr Bevin touches down at Le Bourget Airport, Bevin with Mrs Bevin alights. CU Bevin surrounded by press etc. At Luxembourg Palace, delegates arrive, forecourt crowded with cars arriving. Inside Palace, LS Bidault on rostrum. MS & MCU Molotov speaking in Russian, cut-in elevated shot of delegates. Dr Evatt speaks, argues with Molotov, If Mr Molotov thinks there’s some magic in a two thirds vote etc., etc. Cut-in delegates listening. Mr Alexander mounts rostrum and says let’s not argue about something that has already been published to the world, let’s get on with peace treaties, the world are waiting for us to get on with the peace.
