MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Victory Parade - Australia. DESCRIPTION: Large parades in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney marked Victory Day in Australia. At night in Sydney thousands watch a huge firework display. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated shot military procession marching through streets of Melbourne. Various shots of troops, led by General Sir Thomas Blamey marching through cheering crowds. Mounted Police controlling crowds who had broken through barriers. . AT BRISBANE, shots of Royal Naval personnel marching through streets, cheered by thousands. Duke of Gloucester on dais takes salute at marchpast. AT SYDNEY, various angle shots of ex-servicemen, troops, Navy, Air Force, in marchpast, million people lined streets to cheer. General Bennett led the Navy, Army and Air Force, shot of him passing Cenotaph with hat raised. At night, crowds line river banks to watch firework display, shots of fireworks going off, in one big blaze, owing to spark from a rocket. Cut-ins of crowds watching same.
