MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Home Fleet Leave for Exercises. DESCRIPTION: Ships of the Home Fleet depart from Portland on the first Spring cruise since the war. Their first port of call was to be Gibraltar. SHOTLIST: KS LS cruisers HMS "Diadem" and HMS "Birmingham". Elevated shot and various shots of destroyers passing Bincleaves Arm, destroyers of the "R" class. Line ahead of destroyers steaming out of camera. HMS "Birmingham". CU Passing Bincleaves Arm, camera pans whole length of cruiser. Various shots of battleship HMS "Nelson", various parts of the ship also.
