- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Railways Get Steam Up. DESCRIPTION: The world’s smallest public railway, the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway, re-opens after years of war service. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS CU top of tender. Smallest railway running. LS Mayor of Romney officially opening railway, cutting ribbon. Various trucking shots of the train en route for Hythe, passing through countryside, under bridge and stops at station. Mayors of Hythe and Romney stand by train. Mayor of Hythe shakes hands with Mayor of Romney who gets into train. The front section of the train pulls out of station leaving the carriage with the Mayor in at the platform. Children rush to get into train, followed by Paul Wyand, who can’t get in owing to his size, slams door in disgust and shot of him sitting in goods wagon attached to end of train, as same pulls out of station.
