MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: HMS Formidable Returns From the War. DESCRIPTION: The Aircraft Carrier "Formidable" arrives at Portsmouth returning from war duty in the Far East. SHOTLIST: KS GV Aircraft Carrier "Formidable". Same approaches dock, turns into river. Flying paying-off pennant. Crowds line quay. Naval personnel disembark, down gangway. SCU & CU Captain Anthony Kimmins, Fleet Air Arm, speaks about his experiences. His family stand around him. Elevated shot as relatives board ship. On board run to their husbands, brothers, sons etc. embracing and kissing them. Cut-in of WRNS on quayside.
