MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Miss Hasso Christens US - Sweden Aircraft. DESCRIPTION: Signe Hasso, star of "The House on 92nd Street", had difficulty breaking the bottle whilst christening a new plane. SHOTLIST: KS Miss Hasso, Lauritz Melchoir and His Excellency Herman Eriksson, ascend platform. MS Miss Hasso saying "To carry peaceful commerce between our Scandinavian countries and the United States". CU crashing champagne bottle on side of plane, named "Flagship Scandinavia"; the bottle does not break. After a lot of gestures, moving of mike etc., Miss Hasso succeeds in breaking bottle, the champagne going over her as well as the plane.
