Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Fragmentation Bombs. DESCRIPTION: Another wartime secret is revealed the Radio Proximity Fuse. Installed in rocket bombs, radio beams detected it’s target and it could be exploded with devastating effect. SHOTLIST: KS Aerial CU of fighter plane. Fragmentation bombs dropping from plane exploding on target. SCU Radio Promimity Fuse components. Same fitted to rockets. Rockets loaded onto plane. Plane in flight, plane fires rockets. Diagrams show zone of sensitivity. RPF fitted to bomb. Diagram shows ordinary high explosive falling and direction of blast. Diagram shows DA exploding and blast effect. Aerial shots of bombs falling fitted with RPF and exploding just above their targets, causing terrific devastation around target. Diagram shows bomb fitted with RPF exploding and effect. Various aerial shots of fragmentation bombs exploding, also CU sky peppered with small (presumably) fragments.
