MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Indonesian Nationalists. DESCRIPTION: Batavia, Java has become the centre for the Indonesian Nationalist movement which is led by Dr Sukarno. Meetings at many places have called upon the people to unite against the Dutch and their allies. British troops have had to take a hand in dealing with the situation. SHOTLIST: Streets scene in Batavia. Various shots. Banners in their own language and English stating that they want home rule. Interior shot of Dr Sukarno presiding over meeting of Nationalist. CU Sukarno. CU Indonesian flag (bi colour flag red/white). GV crowds parading in open space. Various shots of crowds marching through streets. Crowds carry huge banners bearing slogans etc., also flags. SV Sukarno taking the salute.
