MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wembley International England 6 Scotland 2. DESCRIPTION: The International Match between England and Scotland was held in aid of the Duke of Gloucester’s Red Cross and St John’s Fund and other charities. The victory went to England by 6 goals to 2, with Lawton scoring a hat-trick. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Exterior view of Wembley Stadium, various shots outside stadium shows people flocking to same. Various crowd shots inside stadium. Two teams come out. King Haakon shakes hands with the teams. Toss up, Scotland kick-off. Scotland go right through to score in three minutes, cut-in of crowds. Milne scores first goal for Scotland, as seen from the eaves. Various shots of play in Scotland’s goalmouth, Matthews at play, various shots of him No 7. Crowds, Royal Box shows King Haakon, Attlee, Bevin etc. Second half, Lawton scores equaliser, into camera, very good individual play. Lawton scores England’s second goal. Goulden No 10 scores England’s third goal. Walker for Scotland scores their 2nd goal. Lawton scores England’s 4th goal. Carter No 8 scores 5th. Finishing on Smith No 11 scoring the 6th. Weather - Showery rain.
