MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Palace Honours. DESCRIPTION: At a recent Buckingham Palace Investiture Anthony Smith and Benjamin Gimbert both received the George Cross. There were also three VC’s awarded to Major William Sidney, Company Sergeant Major Hollis and Brigadier Lorne Campbell. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV Buckingham Palace. GV of small crowds in palace forecourt. CU Anthony Smith - chimney sweep, GC. SCU Benjamin Gimbert - engine driver, GC. Three Royal Red Cross Nurses, Miss Jones on left, Miss Hardy right, & Miss Goodrich in centre. CU Miss Goodrich, all received Royal Red Crosses. Three VC’s walk into camera, left to right Major William Philip Sidney. CSM Hollis, & Brigadier Lorne Campbell. CU of all three. Finishing on CU of Brigadier Campbell, & with his uncle Vice-Admiral Campbell VC of last war.
