MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trial of Caruso. DESCRIPTION: The ex-Police Chief of Rome, Pietro Caruso, stands trial for collaboration and is sentenced to be shot. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Crowds in court riot. Various shots of crowd in court when they grabbed Caretta & lynched him. All the preceding is from CARD 45131. Fade to Pietro Caruso entering court on crutches, taking seat. Various shots of Prosecutor, Judges. Chairman, & Defending Counsellor (waves arms about). Cut-ins of Caruso & his accomplice Roberto Occhetto listen. Jury return to court, President wearing black hat reads sentence. CU Caruso in background. Occhetto to finish.
