- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: American Drive From St Lo. DESCRIPTION: Following the American’s capture of St Lo, General Bradley’s army started the drive towards the coast at the base of the Cherbourg Peninsular. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. (Library - Various shots St Lo shows armoured cars passing through. Also shots of American infantry & tanks passing through.) Scorpion along road. Stationary Sherman fires her gun. Various shots of street fighting. This is in St Lo & Marigny. Shots of Liberators in formation. Formations of Fortresses pass over. Aerial shots LS of explosions & smoke rising. Field artillery lay down barrage, in background shot of cows in field. Various shots of Yanks firing 155mm howitzers, loading as well. Shot of observer on roof of house. Aerial shots of battlefield, shows American tanks scattered over fields, along roads etc. Yanks march single file out of camera, along country lanes, Sherman pass infantry.
