- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wearing Down the Hun. DESCRIPTION: American fighters pilots based in Britain are now engaged in some of the greatest air battles the world has yet seen. SHOTLIST: Cut story - GV group of pilots, crew etc. Loading planes up with ammunition. Lines of Thunderbolts, others take off, others taxi. Take off into camera. One plane has picture on fuselage. Escorting bombers. Various aerial shots of aerial combat, shots taken by gun-camera, shows Me110s., Me109s., & FW190s. being shot up, one is actually seen to crash, (think this is fluke shot as it appears to crash in the desert). Several explode in mid-air. Formation flying through flak. Line of Thunderbolts peeling off, & landing, taxies, pilot climbs out. Number of "kills" marked on fuselage. GV group of crew gathered round plane.
