MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Fury of Vesuvius. DESCRIPTION: The volcano had its worse eruption since 1906 causing the evacuation of San Sebastiano and Massa. Our pictures show the destruction as lava moves through the streets of San Sebastiano. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Library shots Naples with Mount Vesuvius. Paramount - Italians salvaging belongings and evacuation. Aerial shots of crater shows it erupting - good aerial shots. RAFFU - Aerial shots of lava on the move. Ground shots of lava making its way across country. Paramount - Town of San Sebastiano shows lava pushing over buildings. Americans photographing. Various shots of the gas clouds. Night shots of the river of lava. Aerials of crater with gas clouds, etc., etc. Paramount’s material is extremely good.
