MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Scharnhorst - Summing-up. DESCRIPTION: Onboard the "Duke of York" some of those who played leading parts in the defeat of the "Scharnhorst" have a few words to say about it. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Various shots of "Duke of York", shot of Admirals & Captains who were in the action of sinking of the "Scharnhorst" stand in a line on deck of the "Duke of York", in the group being Admiral Sir Bruce Fraser, Admiral Burnett, & various Captains. GS of group aboard Duke of York. GS of "Norfolk" CU plaque aboard "Norfolk". CU Captain DK Bain of "Norfolk" tells his story of sinking of Scharnhorst. CU Burnett tells his, followed by Yeoman of Gunnery on board Duke of York. CU Bruce Fraser speaking about same. The above was shot under the big guns of Duke of York. Group in cut story left to right: Captain Russell. Commander J Lee-Barber. Commander RL Fisher. Commander Meyrick, Admiral Fraser and Captain Hallett.
