MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Scharnhorst Victory. DESCRIPTION: These pictures show some of the ships that took part in the sinking of the Scharnhorst. The "Duke of York" is seen returning after the victory. SHOTLIST: GS of destroyers laying off Iceland seen in background, various shots. "Duke of York" having her decks swept clear of snow. (Library - GS of Russian convoy, also into camera. GS cruiser "Sheffield" at sea) "Norfolk" GS at sea. (Library - MS North Cape, showing part of convoy passing. SCU of Burnett on bridge. CU with field glasses. Several shots of Duke of York & the Scharnhorst firing their heavy guns). GS destroyer ploughing through sea, GS Stord also parts of ship, shows Norwegian sailors manning her. GS Duke of York at sea, followed by Jamaica. Elevated shot of casualties being put ashore. CU Bruce Fraser aboard "Duke of York" also GS of Fraser with Captain Hughes Hallett (Jamaica) & Commander Meyrick of destroyer "Savage" & Captains of other destroyers who took part in action. GS of group of gun crew "Duke of York" all looking very happy. Tug towing warship into dock, survivors of the Scharnhorst being led ashore blindfolded.
