Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Home (Repatriated Prisoner). DESCRIPTION: Arriving home at a western port are repatriated prisoners of war from Italy. Many were still recovering from serious wounds and many had lost limbs. SHOTLIST: Cut story - GS of "Newfoundland" & decks crowded with soldiers, & CU name of ship "Newfoundland". Troops coming off ship, some with crutches, others walking unassisted, some carried off on stretchers. Train passing camera, crowded with troops, waving to some girls standing on side walk. At hospital (unknown) being assisted out of ambulance, group shot crossing grounds, & GS of group standing & sitting, singing "Bless ‘em All" & CU of Medical Corps (soldier of) telling us about his experiences & adventures. Arriving home, rings bell, door opened by mother, & embrace, this by the way was Sergeant Air Gunner Lower.
