Summary
[SUBTITLE]: "The largest mural poster ever painted depicts Sir Francis Drake and the Spanish Armada. Mr Bert Thomas’s painting calls attention to Germany’s threat in 1918." Section of the mural (in Trafalgar Square) tied to ropes and lifted into place. Pan shot of incomplete mural. Close shot of Thomas painting. Completed mural shows Drake’s men at sea awaiting the Armada in the distance. Above and below is the slogan, ‘Once again our country is threatened. Are your war bonds helping in the fight?'
