- [SUBTITLE]: "The body of John Cornwell receives full Naval honours at the funeral. Dr Macnamara Secretary of the Admiralty speaking of the boy said, ‘His grave will be the birthplace of heroes’." Watched by crowds the coffin, drawn by a naval detachment, arrives at the scene of the ceremony and is carried by the naval pall bearers to the graveside, after which a volley is fired over the grave.
