Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Libya - With Navy, Army & Air Force Along the Coast. DESCRIPTION: The Navy operates along the coast of Libya helping the men of the other services to consolidate gains. At the Eighth Army continues to push forward, the RAF too is busily engaged. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Three TLCs under way, & into camera, show of Captain on bridge looking through glasses. Shot of beach as we approach; unloading barrel of water from TLCs. Men rolling barrels up beach. RAF Ensign being hoisted to top of flag mast. CU same. Aerial shot of Tobruk. Harbour (pan). Aerial shots of Fuka & El Daba aerodromes. Ground shots of Hanshaw 126; Heinkel, RAF personnel painting propeller, & over Nazi sign. GS Stuka, German People’s Armoured car drives up, out of which gets an officer. Pilot climbs into Stuka. CU engine starting, taxies, & take off into camera. Aerial shot of Benghazi. Troops on lorries ride through streets, Military Police on point duty; CU of only Arab left in town. Aerial shot of Tunis Harbour, showing bomb bursts on same.
