- [SUBTITLE]: "The race from start to finish and incidents of the day." People arriving in motor cars. One car broken down being pushed along. Two omnibuses drive past. Various forms of horse-drawn carriage drive past. Horse-drawn carriage drives past gipsy encampment. Carriage pulled by white horses stops outside the stand. Panning shot of traders’ stall and gipsy caravans. Two close shots of people in stationary cars. Horses and riders being led onto the course. Horses gallop past the crowded grandstand prior to the race. Long shot of the start of the race viewed from the left hand side of the course as the horses approach. Long shot of the horses turning at Tattenham Corner taken from a position in the crowd on the left hand side as they approach. Suffragette Emily Davison can be just seen running through the horses and standing in front of the King’s horse ‘Anmer’, which knocks her down. The horses ride on and a large crowd rushes to the scene where Davison, horse and jockey lie on the ground. Horses race past camera position on right hand side of the course. Similar long shot for the finish (crowds cover the course in the background). Horses being led into the paddock. Reverse view of this. Close up of ‘Craganour’ in a stable.
