- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Alaska Highway. DESCRIPTION: It begins in Alberta and runs north to Alaska involving 1,600 miles of road engineering by the US Army. SHOTLIST: GV of road, elevated shots. Countryside before road was built, bulldozer knocking down trees etc. Men smashing granite, tractors & scrappers smoothing out ground. Lorries crossing pontoon bridge, shot from water - very good. Various elevated angle shots of roadway, VG. Aerial shot of country through which road is going to run. Some of the machines seen being used are indescribable, even dope reads "Machines looking like strange monsters". The various shots of this highway from all angles are extremely good.
