MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Duke of Kent’s Memorial Service. DESCRIPTION: National sympathy for the Duchess of Kent and the Royal Family was expressed by Londoners at a Service in Westminster Abbey. SHOTLIST: Tunwell - Personalities arrive for service, at West Door. Into camera: Duke & Duchess of Norfolk, Lord Mayor of London, Admiral Stark - US Navy, Mr & Mrs Eden, Air Marshal Sholto Douglas, General McNaughton - Canadian CC, Mr & Mrs Winant, Lord & Lady Louis Mountbatten, Mr & Mrs Churchill, Sir Stafford Cripps. Churchills being received by Bishop de Labilliere & clergy. Same walking towards aisle. Various Cabinet Ministers, Ambassadors etc. leaving Abbey, impossible to itemise each one (leaving en masse). Hutchins - Shot of general public at North Door in a queue. Arrival Mr & Mrs Churchill, walking through grounds to Abbey. Departure of same. General view of West Front of Abbey. Crowd shot outside Abbey, where cars waited to carry notabilities away. These seen leaving the Abbey was Mr & Mrs Churchill walking to their own car with Bishop & clergy. Also seen leaving is the Maharaja Jan Sahab of Nawanagar & Sir Ramaswami Madaliar.
