- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mr Churchill in Moscow. DESCRIPTION: That historic meeting at the height of the Nazi onslaught symbolises the determination of the Allies to win through this crucial phase of the war and to fight on together in complete solidarity of plan and purpose. Mr Churchill and Mr Harriman, representing the American President, meet with Stalin. SHOTLIST: CU Great Britain, USA & USSR Flags. Cars arriving at aerodrome carrying Russian diplomats. Molotov gets out of car, shakes hands with Marshal Shaposhnikov, also others including Clark-Kerr, Stanley and Chinese Ambassador. Group looking up at sky as three planes approach aerodrome, one lands (you don’t see it land) the "Zombi". CU of same showing painting on fuselage of Popeye. CU "Commando" Churchill’s plane, taxiing across aerodrome as instructed by signaller with flags. C gets out, shakes hands with M, etc. CU Ambassadors, Sir Alan Brooke, Wavell, Harriman. CU Brooke & Wavell. CU C & Harriman as National Anthems are being played. Shot of band, also guard of honour. CU Churchill, Harriman & Molotov. Various shots of greetings. Churchill inspecting guard on honour. C gets into car giving ‘V’ sign, followed by Clark-Kerr & Molotov. Cars drive off, pan shot going through Gorky Street, other traffic can be seen in street. Before leaving aerodrome C gives speech over mike "We will continue to fight until Hitlerite Germany has been beaten into the ground". CU Churchill, Harriman & Stalin, & Molotov. CU Churchill & Stalin sitting down. CU Churchill, fade out Churchill, fade in aerodrome. Band playing National Anthems, Guard of Honour paraded. Soldiers saluting. CU Churchill, Harriman & Molotov. CU Band. Shot of band plane in background. Various shots of farewells. Commando takes off, crowds waving, plane disappears. Aerial shot of two Russian Fighter escort planes flying past three flags again. When planes first arrive at aerodrome there is a shot of the American pilots standing by their plane.
