Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of Burma Communications (Ynnan-Burma Railway). DESCRIPTION: Traffic on the Burma Road has been moving in both directions. Lease Lend material moving into China and troops from Yunnan going into Burma. The building of a railway to relieve congestion has begun, under the direction of an American Engineer. SHOTLIST: Chinese troops coming from Yunnan Province along the Burma Road. Supplies and traffic using the Burma Road. Chinese reinforcements entering the North. Work on the railway and also shots of Mr Teeng Yang-Fu, Director General of the railway and the American Engineering Advisor. River banks sprayed with arsenic dust to avoid the mosquitoes and quinine is distributed, one child evidently does not intend to take it.
