Summary
Pathe synopsis: The technologists, we hope, won’t spoil all our countryside. Everyone wants to get back to the land and at Hartley in Kent they’re building a new village - not a New Town - to help them do just that. New Ash Green is a concentrated blend of country amenities and all mod cons. The buildings are modern, many of the trees and shrubs have been imported but the atmosphere is distinctly rural. When the six year plan is completed, six thousand people, and no more, will move into a home from home in the country - and within fast commuting distance of London and the Medway towns.
