Summary
Pathe synopsis: Mrs Jean Rubenis has a very different interest in birds. She saves their lives, and unfortunately it doesn’t pay, so her wild bird hospital at Basildon, Berkshire may have to close if more financial help isn’t forthcoming. Her patients include a blind swan who she’s persuaded to take to the water again; buzzards with broken wings, a kestrel and several owls: about sixty birds in various stages of recuperation, and every day her young friends find another casualty along the hedgerows.
