MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Order of Lenin for British Airmen. DESCRIPTION: In London Mr Maisky presented the Order of Lenin to RAF men who had fought in Russia. The first to receive the Order was Wing Commander Ramsbottom Isherwood, followed by Squadron Leader Rook, Squadron Leader Miller and Pilot Officer Haw. SHOTLIST: At the Russian embassy, M Maisky presents the Order Of Lenin to four British RAF pilots among them being Ramsbottom-Isherwood. M Maisky makes a speech, saying that we must smash Hitler in 1942 and not 1943. Sir Archibald Sinclair also makes a speech and among those present are Mrs Churchill, etc., etc.
