Summary
Pathe synopsis: "I hope you’ll forgive me for speaking in rhyme For today we’re presenting our own pantomime." And it’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - not in the theatre, not on ice, but on water skis on a disused and flooded quarry near Reading. There’s all the acrobatic fun of Pam Horton’s water ski show, with the Snow White story followed through. There’s a dwarf ski-ing on his bare feet, Snow White on a flying trapeze on water skis. There’s the wicked Queen out to kill Snow White and the North Country commentator says: "The plot she was hatching was not learnt in chapel For she’s nobbling Snow White with a big poisoned apple." It’s all like that, interlacing some brilliant water ski spectacle and telling the old story in a medium that is unexpected to say the least.
